Rangoli Board

Title: Rangoli Board Medium : Acrylic  Dated : July 2019 I love the design on this Rangoli Board and its color combination. This was a special order for Deepavali. Rangoli is an art form It is a type of decoration drawn on the ground in front of a house.  The ladies in India do this every morning using materials like chalk powder, rice powder, colored sand just to name a few. The four diyas placed at the four corners will be lighted up on the eve of Deepavali. SOLD

The grainy texture is my favorite.  The idea of this painting is to show how in times of darkness there is still hope.  Selected as one of the finalist.  Proud moment for me.  An achievement. I love this piece.
